Rita is a orphan girl. During her stay at the orphanage, she being abused by the orphanage owner. Because of the abuse Rita cannot take it anymore. She decide to ran away from the orphanage before she become ended up becoming a torture victim. During on the run, she was chased by the orphanage owner. She suddenly find a small shrine and hide inside it. During the hiding she met a spirit named Yukari. Yukari is a spirit who was assigned to protect the shrine. Rita and Yukari having some chit-chat about their life. After listening to Rita's story, Yukari make a choice to follow and stay inside Rita's body to protect Rita with her (Yukari) powers.

One day, Rita walking around an unknown town where she find an art gallery. Since Rita really in love with arts, she enter the gallery and take a look around. While wandering around the gallery she find a missing person poster with her photo inside of the poster. She was too scared that she might been found out by the others and will be sent back to the orphanage. She turn around and try to run and ended up bumping into a person. The mysterious men was walking around with his wife and his kids. They asked Rita where her parent is. And Rita answered that she don't have any. After listening to Rita's answer, the men and his wife take Rita to the orphanage and sign a form to take Rita as their daugther. After that, Rita live happily with the family.
